DeSean Jackson Is In Midseason Form When It Comes To Trash Talk
ESPN - The word poked at his competitive side, prompting DeSean Jackson to issue a reminder. So when he was asked Monday how one teammate, cornerback Chris Culliver, challenged him in practice, the wide receiver made one point clear. “I don’t think no one can guard me,” Jackson said. “It’s how I feel about myself. I don’t feel no one can stop me. You can get Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman — whoever you want to get.” Certainly, defenses had a tough time stopping Jackson from going deep last season. And in some cases, nobody was close to his numbers. He led the NFL with 13 catches for 40 yards or more — five more than any other wideout. He also averaged an NFL-best 20.88 yards per catch — nearly 3 yards more than the next receiver, Arizona’s Michael Floyd.

I fucking love DeSean Jackson. I’ve made no bones about it. He’s brash and a trash talker and all he wants to do is score touchdowns and torture other teams. And he’s really good at it. Throw the ball up and he’ll run and catch it. I love that he’s already talking shit. Love the confidence he has in himself, which translates to having confidence in his QB. RG3 has a rocket of an arm. Does he always release the ball on time? Nah. But RG3 can throw the ball 60 yards and hit DeSean, and you can’t teach that. The only problem with his trash talking of Richard Sherman is that Sherman would never cover him. He doesn’t do that whole covering #1 WRs with speed thing. He tried that one time, didn’t work out. But DeSean vs Revis week 6 is going to be awesome.
